Think of Macedonians

My beloved Christians

 

Out of extreme poverty

Welled up in (rich) generosity

(They) gave beyond their ability

(service to) served saints from their plenty

 

On their own entirely

To share, pleaded urgently

Gave themselves to the Lord

And to Paul in keeping with God

 

Know the grace of Jesus

Gave Himself for us

Poor He became for our sake

Rich, us poor, He doth make

 

Show your sincerity

Excel also in generosity

Aim at equality

For the poor use your plenty

 

Sow and reap generously

For God loves a cheerful giver
